You can read every recipe without giving us any personal information. We only collect data in these situations:

• Server logs — when you visit, our hosting provider automatically records technical data (IP address, browser, date and time, page requested) to keep the site secure and working. Logs are deleted after a short period.
• Contact form — your name, email address, optional phone number and your message, so we can reply to you.
• Newsletter — your email address, if you subscribe.

• To answer your questions and messages (legal basis: your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To send the newsletter you signed up for (legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
• To keep the website secure and running (legal basis: our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We never sell or rent your personal data.

We do not use tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage is only used to remember your light/dark display choice and any checklist items you tick — this stays on your device and is never sent to us.

YouTube videos, Vimeo videos and Google Maps are only loaded after you click them. Until then, no data is sent to those services. Once you click, the provider may process your IP address and set cookies according to its own privacy policy.

The "Pin recipe" and share buttons are simple links — Pinterest, Facebook and others only receive data if you click them.

We work with trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

• Hosting & delivery — our web host and Cloudflare, which serve the website and images.
• Email — Resend, which delivers contact-form messages and newsletters.

Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, this happens under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period for security reasons.
